Bats
Bats is a custom egg I did as part of the Pay it Forward giveaway I’m running. The woman who got this egg has worked with bats in the past. After discussing it a bit, I knew that I wanted to present bats as being gentle, graceful creatures. I found an image on a textbook about bats that provided some great inspiration, and was able to create an egg with a grey background that features several bats hanging from a tree limb. There are two carved bats flying in the sky. Here are her comments:
The egg is absolutely PERFECT! it turned out amazing and I am sooooo very thrilled that I don’t even know what to say! It is definitely the most wonderful thing I have ever recieved from someone! I’ve been telling everyone about it.

These are photos that she took and sent me, and as you can see, the carved egg survived the shipping process just fine. I asked her for permission to share these photos so that I could provide some examples of the custom work I do, and also to prove that these eggs are a lot sturdier than most people think!
