Silver Quarter Ring
This ring was made from a silver quarter. It currently fits about a size 7, though I can increase the size up to about an 8. In this photo, you can barely make out the 1942 along the bottom, but in person, the entire edge of the quarter is visible, including the words “United States of America”. And lest you think that it’s not incredible that I simply drilled a hole into a quarter, let me ask you- are your quarters typically this thick?

Now, certain people will ask, “But wait! Isn’t that illegal?!” From what I can gather from those who are more perspicacious than I am, as long as you aren’t trying to commit fraud, it’s all good. I’m not counterfeiting numismatic pieces, so there’s no need for a fracas. This is just a different sort of the same type of found-object art as I’ve done in the past. (Check Quilly’s Three Word Thursday for why I’m using ridiculous words.)
Anyway, this ring has a brushed finish and is incredibly comfortable to wear. I’m not selling this one, but please let me know if you’re interested in having me make one for you.

I love this post and I love your ring. I can’t wait to see better pics.
