Egg Art Basics: How to Blow an Egg

Egg Art Basics: How to Blow an Egg | How-to videos at MindBites

Ohhhh dear. Get me a camera and look what happens. I start making tutorials.

The most basic step of egg art is “blowing” an egg, or emptying the shell of its contents. Because I typically use pre-blown goose eggs from a farm, I usually get to avoid this step. But I’m putting the info out there for anyone who’s interested in getting started on their own egg art. This tutorial will walk you through the basics of getting your egg ready to be decorated, and with a little practice, you should have a clean, empty eggshell to begin decorating.

Now, if this sort of thing interests you, make sure you leave me a comment to let me know that you’re interested in future lessons. I’m planning some for more advanced egg art, the book sculptures, and how to make your own silver quarter ring, but I want to know if anyone’s interested first.
