Hearts and Lace

Hearts and Lace is a highly detailed egg I created for the Emerging Artist’s Show in Omaha.  It’s a filigree style egg with small wiggly designs covering the entire surface, except some areas where there are heart cutouts.  It was a fun egg to do, and I’m so pleased that it turned out exactly like [...]

Leaves

Leaves is a rose colored goose egg with multiple leaf designs across the surface.  The thing that makes this one so unique is that the copper colored leaves are actually 3D and rise from the egg, rather than being carved into it.  The yellow ones are bits of paper from a bag I had.  (I [...]

Basketweave

This egg is called “Basketweave” due to its pattern.  It has a very cool symmetry across the surface, and there is a slight shimmer to its finish. It is on a very delicate stand, so extra care should be taken with its display.

Celebration

I have no idea why I haven’t listed this egg yet. It turned out to be one of my favorites. Well, here it is now.
When I began this egg, I wasn’t too pleased. I drilled the larger holes first and it ended up looking sort of like an avant garde saltshaker. [...]

Ostrich Flowers

This egg is called Ostrich Flowers because it obviously has flowers, but those flowers are made from ostrich feathers.
This egg has an unusual story behind it. I actually dreamed of this egg- literally. I often work out problems while I’m sleeping, and I was trying to get ready for my first group [...]
