Basketweave

This egg is called “Basketweave” due to its pattern.  It has a very cool symmetry across the surface, and there is a slight shimmer to its finish. It is on a very delicate stand, so extra care should be taken with its display.

Gingerbread Men

Gingerbread Men is a white chicken egg with gingerbread men and holly sections.  In between these designs, the shell has been cut out.  This is one of the first detailed carvings I experimented with, and is still one of my favorites.

Circles

Circles is a white goose egg with circular designs removed from it.  These circles are held together only by a shared edge here and there, and the design covers the entire egg.  Circles was one of the first carved pieces, and the inspiration for many other pieces.

Puzzle is a white goose egg with a puzzle design lightly carved into the surface, then painted with gold leaf.  This is such a playful design, as if someone took apart the eggshell and then put it back together again.

Mandala is an intricately cut white goose egg.  It sits on a silver stand.  It earned its name because the holes mandala out from a hole at the bottom, spreading upwards and around the egg.  More than any other egg, this is the one that people claim as their favorite.
